The NSF is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to help consumers Live Safer everyday. Recently, the NSF raised the bar in spa safety by introducing NSF P181 certification which – for the first time ever – combines health and safety requirements for circulation, filtration, heating and sanitation of spa water along with material, design & construction, and performance requirements. In short, NSF P181 certifies the whole spa, not just selected parts.
As you may know, Hot Spring spas already have NSF approved filters – as do some other manufacturers. However, we are now are the first and only spa manufacturer to offer products certified by the NSF for overall spa safety and performance for the entire spa.
